Inflation Threat
The strengthening rebound has sparked inflation concern. Consumer prices climbed 1.4 percent in December from a year earlier, after a 0.6 percent gain in November, the median forecast in a Bloomberg News survey indicates. The report is also scheduled for tomorrow.
Industrial output may have climbed 19.6 percent in December from a year earlier, the most in 2 1/2 years, and urban fixed- asset investment may have gained 31.5 percent last year, according to the survey.
