HONG KONG - The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong will not open for trading at 10:00 am due to typhoon Imbudo, which has triggered the No. 8 storm warning in Hong Kong, a stock exchange official said.
The exchange's operating policy under typhoon conditions provides for trading to resume two hours later if the No. 8 warning is lowered at any time before or at 9:30 am.
If the signal is lowered before or at noon, the exchange will resume trading at 2:30 pm, the official said.

TOKYO - Japan's trade surplus in June fell 30.7 pct to 846.04 bln yen from 1.22 trln yen the year before, the Ministry of Finance said, reflecting a decline in the surpluses in trade with both the US and EU.
Exports totaled 4.428 trln yen, little changed from 4.43 trln a year earlier, while imports rose to 3.58 trln from 3.21 trln.
In May, Japan's rose 12.5 pct from a year earlier to 694.37 bln yen, due to a surge in shipments to both Europe and Asia.
Japan's export performance is being scrutinized particularly closely because of a recent sharp rise in Japanese stock prices on expectations for an export-led recovery.
The ministry provided details of the surplus, exports to and imports from the following regions, with year-on-year comparisons:
US:
Surplus - 483.05 bln yen, down 21.7 pct
Exports - 1.08 trln yen, down 12.0 pct
Imports - 598.54 bln yen, down 2.3 pct
EU:
Surplus - 216.88 bln yen, down 11.0 pct
Exports - 670.25 bln yen, up 3.9 pct
Imports - 453.38 bln yen, up 13.0 pct
Asia:
Surplus - 453.75 bln yen, down 20.5 pct
Exports - 2.04 trln yen, up 3.8 pct
Imports - 1.59 trln yen, up 13.7 pct
